Immaginate questi viaggi in carrozza, duravano mesi e durante questi mesi era necessario fare soste qua e là in una locanda che era in cammino. I locandieri, poi, erano i proprietari delle locande ma anche i cuochi, i camerieri, le governanti. Parlavano con ogni cliente e conoscevano ogni angolo del loro territorio. Sono stati i primi a incarnare l'essenza di un concierge. Oggi il Concierge rappresenta un "creatore di esperienze su misura", dove le esigenze del cliente vengono ascoltate e seguite con attenzione.
